Living in Ehime
Located on Shikoku island in western Japan lies Ehime Prefecture. Matsuyama, the capital of the prefecture, is home to many famous tourist attractions and onsen, including Dogo Onsen, Japan's oldest bath house, which has been open for over 1,000 years. Another popular destination for tourists is Matsuyama Castle, which can be seen from all parts of Matsuyama City. The prefecture produces a large percentage of Japan's mikan, and the economy is supported by industrial production of chemicals and textiles. Due to its location, Osaka and Hiroshima can be easily accessed by ferry from the region.
