As far as seasonal sweet potato desserts go, this sweet potato pound cake is a solidly good option. It's a repeat occurrence (they've sold it around this time in previous years), but this year they've upped the sweet potato paste and diced sweet potatoes in the mixture, so the sweet potato flavor packs an extra punch. I also think it's a very good value for money cake slice, coming in at just under 200 yen including tax. I would happily purchase this item again if I had a craving for it and it was still available on store shelves!

If you prefer your cakes to have a consistent texture throughout, then the chunks of sweet potato in this will probably throw you off a bit -- especially since there are so many of them to navigate around because they've increased the amount of them in the mixture! Overall though, I personally loved this cake. It has a nice texture, the generous amount of sweet potato makes it feel like an extra good deal, and the price feels reasonable at only 198 yen including tax.
