The biggest thing this McFlurry gets right is the combo of textures. The ice cream is mixed with plenty of crunchy chopped almonds, so you get that satisfying contrast in every few bites. The chocolate sauce is rich without completely overpowering the ice cream, and the whole thing does a good job of recreating the familiar taste of Meiji Almond Chocolate. If you already love the original chocolate, this feels like a pretty natural pairing. It's also a nice change from the usual cookie-heavy McFlurry options, with the roasted almond flavour giving it a more grown-up taste.

My biggest complaint is that it can feel a little one-note after a few bites. There's chocolate, there's almond, and there's soft serve, but if you prefer your desserts to have a bit of tartness or something to cut through the sweetness, this probably won't be your fave McFlurry item. The chocolate sauce also becomes quite rich as you eat more, and the chopped almonds can occasionally get stuck together rather than being evenly distributed. At ¥370, it's more pricey than some other McFlurry options too, so keep that in mind if your main consideration is getting max value for your yen.
