This product is the newly released Fluffy Pikachu Donut, and it's available for a limited time at Mister Donut stores. It was priced at 352 yen for dine-in.
The good
The Fluffy Pikachu Donut is almost too cute to eat! The soft dough has a lovely texture, and the whipped cream filling gives it a light and creamy center without making it feel overly heavy. The custard-flavored flakes on top add a little extra sweetness and texture, and the chocolate ears and strawberry gummy cheeks give it plenty of character. I also like that it's a slightly different take on the usual mochi-style donuts, with a softer, fluffier bite. If you like novelty treats and you're a Pokémon fan, then this is almost guaranteed to be a winner.
The not so good
The biggest downside of this to me is that it's only a limited-time offering, which is a shame considering how appealing it is. It's an easy crowd-pleaser, particularly for any Pikachu/Pokemon fans (of which there are many!!), and I can imagine plenty of people wanting to try it more than once for the sheer novelty value and photogenic nature of it. If you happen to enjoy it, there's no guarantee it'll be around the next time you visit Mister Donut, so it's one to grab while you can! Happy eating, and enjoy!
