The good
This Coco's Halloween Ghost Cake is an adorable little dessert made for the spooky season. The whipped cream is shaped like a ghost (complete with chocolate eyes), making it almost too cute to eat! I liked the combo of fluffy cream with the crispy pie pastry and chocolate brownie hidden inside. The different textures make each bite more interesting, and the chocolate adds a richer flavor to balance the cream. At ¥649, it's a fun seasonal treat, and if you get the CocoWeb coupon it brings the price down to ¥429, which is much more tempting!
The not so good
As cute as this dessert looks, it might not be the most exciting choice for anyone who prefers something less sweet or more substantial. The whipped cream takes center stage so the overall flavor is fairly mild, and the brownie and pie pastry have to compete with all that cream. The biggest drawback, though, is its availability. With only seven days on the menu, there's very little time to try it before it disappears! If it sounds like a must try to you, be sure to head in to your nearest Coco's store soon (today being Halloween is a good excuse!!)
