It's fall forecast time!

If you're like me and look forward to the autumn colors changing each year, the Japan Meteorological Corporation has released their koyo projections for 2026.

You can have a look at them on their website here, and it's worth noting that there are two different projections. One is for red leaves (your lovely maples and so forth!) and the other is for yellow ginkgos.

Much like sakura season, there will be revisions to these dates as we get closer to the timeframe, but it's a good starting point if you're planning to do any leaf chasing!
