Get your Burger King fix for cheaper in Japan this September

I've found that living in Japan can teach you a few money-saving tricks, and one of them is knowing to check restaurant apps before ordering. For expats craving a Burger King fix, an upcoming Whopper Festival is worth knowing about.

From September 7th to 11th 2026, Burger King Japan is offering special app-only coupons from 2 PM each day, knocking ¥300 off five popular Whopper sets. That means the Whopper with Cheese Set drops from ¥1,090 to ¥790, while the Smoky BBQ, Teriyaki, and Spicy Whopper Sets fall from ¥1,070 down to ¥770. The Double Whopper with Cheese Set is ¥1,240, down from ¥1,540. Each set comes with small fries and a medium drink, and the coupons can be used for dine-in or takeout.

You’ll need the official Burger King app and a membership to use the deal, but existing members are eligible too. For those of us who occasionally need a taste of home without blowing the budget, I think that ¥300 off a Whopper meal is a pretty decent little win!
