I always appreciate yogurt as something that helps my overall health and nutrition in a tasty way, and this Meiji Probio R-1 The GOLD Yogurt has quite a few benefits! The big selling point is that it contains 6.6 mg of R-1 lactic acid bacteria EPS which is great for not only gut health but apparently (according to research online, anyway) can be helpful in fighting off disease. It can't hurt, anyway! If you like drinkable yogurts instead of the tub kind, you can find the R-1 yogurts in bottles, too. The portion size isn't huge but you can always add it to a granola and fruit bowl to bulk it up a bit.

The tub size of this isn't particularly large, which has both pros (it's a regulated portion size) and cons (you might find that it's not enough for your appetite). You could always buy multiple tubs if you wanted to make a larger yogurt bowl option, though! Overall, I like this product both for its taste and the health benefits that it offers. I also like that I can find it just about anywhere, I feel like it's stocked at just about every supermarket and even some convenience store chains. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for something simple and easy to incorporate into daily life that helps gut health.
