One of the many things I love about autumn in Japan is the plethora of delicious eats there are to enjoy. I'm a big fan of all things shine muscat related, and this shine muscat mochi with white bean paste is a nice sweet treat to try! The actual mochi outer itself is quite soft, softer than other mochi I've tried, which can be a good or a bad thing depending on your perspective! They have an entire shine muscat grape inside it, and it's surrounded by a smooth white bean paste. I really liked that it kicked my craving for sweets but wasn't overpoweringly sugary.

If you prefer your mochi to have a significant chew to it, this was definitely on the softer side. It will depend on your preference, but just keep that in mind for expectation management. Of course, if you find yourself really enjoying it, one downside is the fact that it's a limited time only offering. You only have a short window to get your hands on it, which is always a bit of a bummer when it's something delicious! I would suggest heading in to your nearest 7-11 store sooner rather than later if it sounds like a must-try item to you. Happy eating! :)
