The description

This product is the new "Ichigo Frappuccino," a seasonal, caffeine-free frap option from Starbucks stores across the country. It was 720 yen including tax.

The good

If you enjoy fruit-flavored frappuccinos and you prefer to avoid caffeine, this new "Ichigo Frappuccino" from Starbucks is a fun option to try. The flavor of it is good -- they pack in a solid amount of actual strawberry pulp (including the seeds), so it has quite a natural feel to it. It comes topped with whipped cream, so overall it's fairly simple, but I think the combo of strawberries and cream is a classic -- and it's popular for a reason. Very refreshing as the weather begins to warm up, so I think it's a nice seasonal choice.

The not so good

The ever present cost issue with Starbucks drinks is no different here. I've mentioned before that seasonal drinks are one of my vices, but any new flavor is a "one and done" because of the price, irrespective of how good it is. Also, this is a frap that is honestly something I could probably replicate decently at home with frozen strawberries, a juice base (probably apple), and some whipped cream. If you have a blender at home you could probably do the same! Tasty, but as I mentioned this isn't something I would purchase again based on the price.
