Mega-sized for mega hunger, but the price is gourmet burger-feeling

Right now, McDonalds have a number of new burger offerings with themed Pokemon packaging to celebrate the franchise's 30th anniversary. One of them is this tartar demi-glace double-cut beef burger, and I think it's a good option if you've got a big appetite. My husband picked this one out, and he found it to be satisfying. It consists of two beef patties, demi-glace sauce, cheese, lettuce, and a tartar sauce that has quite a chunkiness to it (it looked like egg sando filling to be honest). My husband enjoyed the combo of flavors and textures, though!

There are a few downsides to this, the first being the price. At 840 yen that's starting to feel outside the fast food burger realm and more into the gourmet burger realm. Even though my husband liked it, I don't think he would feel compelled to go out of his way to get it again based primarily on the price. Secondly is that it was kinda messy with both the tartar sauce and the demi-glace sauce. I feel like one or the other probably would have been sufficient, unless you like a really saucy burger.
