The good
This Earl Grey and strawberry scone is a nice change from some of the heavier and sweeter baked goodies available from Starbucks. The Earl Grey-infused dough has a really nice bergamot aroma, which I thought gives it a lovely fragrance without being overpowering. I really liked the combo of the earthy tea flavor with the sweet strawberry coating, which added a nice freshness to each bite. The two flavors complement each other well, and the pretty pink coloring makes it visually appealing, too.
The not so good
I enjoyed the flavor combo, but I think the strawberry could have been a little more noticeable. The Earl Grey aroma is lovely, but if you're expecting a really strong tea flavor, you also might find it a bit on the mild side. One of the biggest downsides, though, is that it's only available for a limited time. If you find yourself really loving it, the window to get another one is pretty slim! There's always a chance they would bring it back if it was very popular, but again that's never a guarantee. Head into your nearest Starbucks soon if it sounds like something you might want to try!
