The description

This product is the Ipsa Face Designing Palette in the tea inspired shade. I purchased it from Niigata Isetan, and it was priced at 6380 yen including tax.

The good

This is an interesting tea-inspired quad palette which has separate powders for cheeks, highlights, shading, and perfecting, so it's quite good for an overall finished makeup look. The colors are also very natural-feeling, which is something I appreciated! I find that as I get older my skin texture is a bit more uneven, and this helps with that to give it a more polished look. It also does a good job of minimizing the visibility of your pores if that's something that concerns you. The quad palette has a built in mirror, so it's also easy to pop in your handbag and take it with you on-the-go if you need to do touch-ups during the day.

The not so good

I think the palette I got is just a touch too light for my skin shade -- there is also a "sakura tea" and a "hojicha tea" palette, and I think either of those probably would have been better. It's not too bad, though. It's also quite a pricey palette, honestly -- you can probably find drugstore equivalent items that work just as well at a fraction of the cost. I do think it's a fun concept for a palette, though, and as a tea lover I think that's probably what attracted me to it in the first place! If you are considering buying it I'd recommend looking carefully at the colors on the other palettes so you get the most appropriate skin tone match.
