Things I love about rainy season: themed goshuin

I was a little late to the game with goshuin collecting, only getting into it probably 5 years after I moved here. In saying that, I've now amassed a pretty good range of them, but my favorites are always the seasonally-themed ones.

One of our local temples has a range of different ones available right now, and they have a heavy focus on seasonal blooms, with the blues and purples of hydrangeas featuring prominently.

I really admire the work and effort that many shrines and temples put in to create very memorable goshuin that serve as little works of art in and of themselves.

Do any of your local shrines or temples put a real focus on creating seasonal goshuin?

Two shrines where I've received seasonal and novelty goshuin. One fave is Kashiwa Shrine in Kashiwa City. Right now, they have a lovely hydrangea version. Another is Kemigawa Shrine in Chiba City. They do goshuin each month, woodblock print graphics. They're lovely. I've reviewed both here on City Cost.
