Mango is one of those fruits that always feels tropical and summery to me, so I think first and foremost that this is a perfect choice for this time of year. This mango pudding is a light, refreshing-feeling dessert, and the whole thing clocks in at only 95 calories so it's not going to leave you feeling heavy. I liked that the pudding has real mango chunks on top, which adds a nice textural element as well as some visual appeal. Overall, I felt that this was a really solid, tasty dessert that tastes extra-good at this time of year.

I think the biggest downside to this product is the price. At 248 yen including tax for what isn't a particularly large portion, it's not exactly what I'd call easy on the budget. In saying that, it's probably a lot healthier than many of the other convenience store desserts on offer, so I guess you win some, you lose some ;) If you do like mango and you're looking for a refreshing treat, I think this is worth trying at least once. I'm not sure how long it'll be available for, so if it does sound good to you I'd recommend popping into your nearest 7-11 store sooner rather than later.
