Along with the tsukimi mochi custard pie that I reviewed yesterday, KFC is also offering this Tsukimi Katsu Burger as part of their limited time menu for autumn. As you can probably guess, the key drawcard for this is the egg, which is meant to represent the full moon. It's also got a chicken cutlet covered in katsu sauce, and a TON of tartar sauce, so if you like your burgers saucy then this one will probably be up your alley! Because it has both the katsu and the fried egg, it packs in a bit of protein and does a solid job of keeping you satiated for a while!

The biggest downside to me about this burger is that it's messy. The combo of the katsu sauce and the tartar sauce (of which there was A LOT of) means that it ends up being pretty messy, especially if you hold the bun too tightly...it sorta just oozes out everywhere, so it's not the easiest to eat. I have to take a couple of points off just for that element. On the flip side, if you find yourself really liking this, because it's just a limited time thing you've got a relatively short window to get your hands on it. Something similar(ish!) will probably be released around the same period next year, though! :)
