The good
My husband spotted this Nescafe product in the shops a few weeks ago and brought some home for myself and the kids to try. I really like many elements of this product. For one, it is simple to use. You just add it to milk or water, or if you prefer you can use it as a topping on ice-cream or even use it in cooking. It is very versatile. If you are drinking it with milk, the other benefit is that you can add as little or as much milk as you want, to create the caramel macchiato flavor that best suits you. I've seen it referred to as a coffee 'stick', but it is more like gum syrup. Moreover, it is not a stick shape at all. And the contents aren't powdery like the stick options. It's a syrup. Easy to pour, with a smooth texture and fabulous color.
The not so good
There are only seven in a pack, so it isn't something you would be drinking daily. And in our big family one pack barely lasted one day. The biggest downfall of this product is the price. My husband got it at 214 yen (before tax), but I think that was a promotional price. I have since seen it for more than 250 yen. Meaning that each little syrup container costs more than 35 yen each. Which in fairness is about the same as stick coffee. But the difference is you then have to add milk to this product, pushing the price per drink up. As such, it feels more like a luxury item than a daily one. I would buy it again, but not regularly.
