New Guinness World Record Set at the 2026 Konosu Fireworks

Congratulations to Konosu City on achieving a brand-new Guinness World Record at the 2026 Konosu Fireworks. They already held two world records before the 2026 display. One secured in 2014 for the largest firework ever launched in the world. And another for launching the most 'shakudama' shell fireworks consecutively.

This year, they beat their own record for that, launching even more shell fireworks in a three-minute timeframe than ever before. However, they have yet to announce exactly how many they launched, only that they were successful in securing the Guinness World Record title. Here is a shot from that record breaking display:

I was there to witness history in the making. It was a spectacular day, not just for the fireworks, but also for the Blue Impulse air show as well as drone show. The Blue Impulse and the finale of the night when the new Guinness World Record was achieved, were the highlights for me personally.

If you missed this spectacular event in 2026, mark it in your calendar for 2027 (dates provided)! Hopefully, Blue Impulse will be back. And while they may not set a new record in 2027, it is guaranteed to be an impressive show as one of the largest firework events annually in autumn.
