The Fujipan's "Snack Sandwich" range offers a pair of sealed sandwiches wrapped in lose plastic. I like the size and softness of the plastic that makes them easy to fit into a hand/bag. Thus, making them very easy to eat on the go. They are probably not as filling as freshly made sandwiches, but there are two in the pack so they hit the hunger spot. If you are eating them at home, toasting them can offer a contrasting flavor. Despite being filled with egg that is marinated, the sandwiches are not messy. Particularly before you eat into it, because the sandwiches are sealed closed. But even after you bite into it, they are not messy. The price is probably the best bit - they are just 109 yen in Beisia and generally I find they are slightly cheaper than Yamazaki Bakery's equivalent.

Fujipan is hard to come by in my part of Saitama Prefecture. Most of my local shops only stock the Yamazaki bakery snack sandwiches. But I have found somewhere that stocks Fujipan regularly so I hope to try other flavors too. However, so far, I prefer Yamazaki bakery's equivalent product. I think Yamazaki's tastes fresher. It is also not as dry as the Fujipan one. I did find this egg sandwich a bit too dry. The egg filling leans mild rather than rich, so anyone expecting a creamy, mayo‑forward egg salad might be disappointed. It’s dependable and simple, but that simplicity also means it lacks the punch or indulgence that other egg sandwiches offer, especially if eaten without toasting.
