The description

This food product is a "one cut" hearty Yaoko Pino Roast Katsu sandwich made with freshly fried tonkatsu and thick, soft bread. Crispy coating, tender pork, and a satisfying handmade feel.

The good

This Roast Katsu Sandwich from Yaoko PINO feels high quality, both by look and taste. The tonkatsu is freshly fried, with a crisp coating that still holds its texture even inside the sandwich. The pork is thick and tender, giving each bite a satisfying weight. The bread is soft and slightly sweet, balancing the savory richness of the cutlet. It is also slightly toasted. There is just one cut / sandwich / slice, so if you aren't starving, this can be a good option. The packaging is sturdy and it stands up or on its side.

The not so good

Although the packaging is sturdy, its wasteful. But it is recyclable. As above; there is just one cut / sandwich / slice, so - although hearty - it wouldn't make a filling lunch for the average person, not even a child. Also, although substantial, if anything it is probably a bit too dense - thick bread and thick katsu makes for a hard bite! At 200 yen for just one slice / cut / sandwich it is expensive, but - as above - it is good quality. Overall, while I was satisfied with the taste, on balance I don't think its good value for money and I won't be buying it again.
