The description

This food product is a wakame‑rice onigiri filled with tender pieces of salmon, shaped and cooked in‑store - in Yaoko supermarket. It cost 198 yen before tax.

The good

This wakame‑rice onigiri with salmon, from Yaoko, has a wonderfully homey quality. The rice is seasoned just enough, with bits of wakame adding a gentle ocean aroma and a pleasant taste. The salmon pieces are flavorful without being overly salty, giving the onigiri a balanced, satisfying center. The in‑store preparation shows in the texture as it is soft, cohesive, and really tastes fresh. Thanks to the ingredients and the fact that it is freshly made up, it feels like it is a healthier option than some other onigiri available.

The not so good

It is more expensive than onigiri in other supermarkets at 198 yen before tax. But because it is made fresh with good ingredients it almost feels worth it. However, because it is quite a small size - smaller than an average onigiri I think - there are probably better options available. However, all that being said, 198 yen before tax isn't that expensive in today's market! I don't know how widely available this product is. They may not sell it at other branches - it might be unique to this particular branch. But you can usually pick up salmon onigiri with some wakame at most supermarkets around Japan.
