A Day for Supercars
Today, and November 1st annually, is Supercar Day. It celebrates some of the world's most exciting and desirable automobiles. The commemorative day was established by the All Japan Supercar Liaison Association to promote the appeal and culture of supercars.
The date of November 1st was chosen because a supercar is seen as being number one in three key areas: performance, style, and emotion, represented by the three ones in 11/1. It is also a memorable date and falls during a season well suited to outdoor motoring events.
Japan experienced a major supercar boom in the late 1970s, largely inspired by the popular manga Circuit no Ōkami (Circuit Wolf). Enthusiasts became fascinated by exotic European cars such as the Lamborghini Countach, Ferrari 512 BB, and Lancia Stratos. In this photo what I believe is two Ferrari 348, a Ferarri Testarosa, and a Lamborghini Aventador, casually seen at a PA / SA in Kanto!

I suspect that these cars were on their way to or form a Supercar event. Even today, Supercar events are super popular! The Tokyo Supercar event comes to mind and they usually have a "Tokyo Supercar Day" in Saitama City around May each year too.
