Patisserie Mon Plaisir's Strawberry Tart is really delicious. Moreover, it is somewhat reasonably priced. 580 yen (before tax) might not sound that reasonable, but in comparison to some of their other cake slices, it is. These days most of their slices of cake cost more than 600 yen. The appearance can change slightly between visits, but the taste remains the same. There is a good balance in textures with a crusty base and smooth whipped cream on top, with juicy strawberries, which were surprisingly good even though it's not quite strawberry season yet. Moreover, it always looks good! It is a particularly decadent dessert.

While I enjoyed this Strawberry Tart overall, there are a few points that some customers may wish to consider before purchasing. The biggest issue is consistency. As above, the tart does not always appear exactly as it does in promotional photos, and the design can vary noticeably between visits. Some people may find this disappointing if they are expecting the cake to look identical to the version advertised on the website or to one they purchased previously. Although one of the cheaper options in Mon Plaisir's range, it is not a cheap option by any means. You could get at least two slices of Monteur cake in a supermarket for half the price. The main difficulty I have with Mon Plaisir cakes is that they only have a same day shelf life. I suspect the bakery is just being cautious, and you can probably eat them the next day, but some people might decide it's not worth that risk.
