Have a "Good Cup" of Coffee on this New Anniversary: Seven Cafe Day
Coffee lovers have a new anniversary to celebrate in Japan. November 1st has been officially registered as Seven Café Day セブンカフェの日by Seven-Eleven Japan in recognition of a major milestone for its popular convenience store coffee brand.
The new commemorative day marks the achievement of 10 billion cups sold, a figure reached by the end of October 2026. Seven-Eleven hopes the anniversary will encourage even more people to discover the appeal of Seven Café and further expand the popularity of convenience store coffee in Japan.
The date of November 1st was chosen for two reasons. It celebrates the 10 billion cup milestone and also references the November 11th, 11/1. With Japanese wordplay 11/1 can be read as "ii (11) ippai (1 cup)", which can be read as "good cup".
Since its launch in 2013, Seven Café has become a familiar part of daily life for many people, offering freshly brewed coffee at an affordable price from stores across the country. As if you didn't already need a reason, November 1st is the perfect excuse for a good cup of Seven Cafe beverages.
