The description
A freshly made "colorful brioche" donut from Yaoko's bakery, coated in smooth chocolate and bright sprinkles. Soft, sweet, and cheerful. It cost 198 yen.
The good
The "Colorful Brioche" カラフルブリオッシュ has a lovely handmade feel that sets it apart from typical packaged donuts. The brioche dough is soft, lightly sweet, and pleasantly fluffy, giving each bite a gentle richness. The chocolate coating adds a smooth sweetness, while the colorful sprinkles make it visually fun and nostalgic. 198 yen (before tax) for a fresh product, especially a brioche donut which you don't see very often, seems relatively good value. As it is made fresh it is best to eat the same day.
The not so good
But because it is made fresh it doesn't have a long shelf life - the expiry date on the product is same day. I don't know how widely available this product it is. I bought it in a Yaoko I don't go to very often. In fact, I don't go to Yaoko much at all, as I have an image of it being expensive, but this Yaoko had some good offers. So, I don't know if this is something each Yaoko bakery makes, or just this one. Overall, I was fairly happy with this product, but it's not overly exciting! I would buy it again, but not frequently.
