Another New Year, Another Earthquake
This morning I felt an earthquake and later looked up where it was. It was another sizeable quake, in Shimane. So on Jan. 6th, 2026, I was reminded of the new year earthquakes a couple years ago in Ishikawa.

Stay safe. Seems to be a lot more earthquakes than usual lately. I always hope that ultimately its a 'good' thing - rather than pressure building up leading to a catastrophic earthquake, that the plates release pressure in spurts. It still makes me uneasy though.
