After dark fun at the Niigata Festival

Recently there has been some conversation in the Q&A section here on City-Cost about rescheduling summer festivals. There's the issue with extreme heat in the middle of the day, meaning that attending some festivals can be unenjoyable at best and downright dangerous on the other end of things.

I definitely find myself gravitating more to the evening events nowadays, and a good one for Niigata-dwellers is the Niigata Festival. This year's event is from August 7th to August 9th (so you could still attend for the evening fireworks tonight if you're in the area!) with the full schedule here. There are some daytime activities, too, but plenty to enjoy once the sun sets as well.
