The description

This product is a chestnut dorayaki, and it's a limited time option available from Family Mart convenience stores It was priced at 218 yen including tax.

The good

If you like more traditional Japanese sweets, this chestnut dorayaki from Family Mart is a nice option to try. It's filled with tsubu-an (chunky red bean paste) and a whole chestnut in between the pancake pieces, and I personally really enjoyed the fusion of flavors. If you like your desserts of choice to have some texture to them as well, then you'll appreciate this a lot! Because it's got red beans in it, I found it to be quite a filling dessert for a relatively reasonable calorie amount -- the entire thing clocks in at 209 calories, so if you're looking for a sweet treat that actually has some staying power then this is a good option for you to try.

The not so good

This product is billed as a "premium" dorayaki, and it's priced higher than other standard dorayaki on convenience store shelves. I personally didn't think there was much that I'd call premium about it -- it seemed fairly standard in terms of taste and ingredients, so maybe it's just a marketing tactic to charge the consumer more ;) Also, just as a personal preference thing I typically always rather koshian rather than tsubuan. That's just me, though! Overall, still worth trying if you like chestnut sweets and more traditional Japanese flavors/desserts. Happy eating!
