A fun summer activity for hot or rainy days

One thing that my family and I have really gotten into over our years here in Japan has been Lego building. I think it's such a great activity for the summer when it's too hot or too rainy to do much out of the house, and it's equally as good in the winter for similar reasons.

Part of why I like Lego so much is because there's honestly something for everyone. There are the kids ranges like Minecraft, Super Mario, and Dreamzzz, but there are also a whole heap of sets that are geared towards adults. If you want options to remember your time in Japan, you can find plenty of those, too!

My newest set is the Lego Plum Blossoms set

There was a recent article on the Japan Times which looked at Lego Japan, and it mentioned some of the Japan-specific sets like the Himeji Castle set and the Hokusai's "Great Wave off Kanagawa" set. I think some of the flower options like the plum blossoms and cherry blossoms can be great, more generic options too that elicit those Japan-feels. You can find plenty of sets on Amazon Japan, and they are one of the main things I like to spend my City-Cost rewards on!
