The description
This product is the new Peach and White Sour MOW ice cream product from the Morinaga brand. It's a summertime-only release and was priced at 184 yen including tax.
The good
This is a fun, light, and refreshing ice cream product that feels really appropriate for the summer season. It consists of two flavors swirled together -- there's a white sour ice cream made from a lactic acid bacteria drink, and a peach ice cream made with domestically sourced white peach juice. I think the flavors work really well together, and it's a great ice cream when you're looking for something frozen and cooling but not something that's going to leave you feeling heavy and weighed down. The price is decent at 184 yen including tax, and I think it's something I would probably purchase again if it was available and I had a craving for it!
The not so good
The white sour ice cream is basically a yakult-style drink in ice cream form, so if you don't like those yogurt-y lactic acid bacteria drinks then I don't think this is the best item for you to purchase! If you do find yourself really liking this, however, you've only got a short window of time to get your hands on it. I don't know exactly how long it'll be on store shelves for, but if it sounds like a must-try to you I would suggest heading in to your nearest convenience store chain to see if it's available near you. Overall, a nice ice cream option if you're looking for something that feels light and refreshing in this warm summer!
