I'm always on the lookout for sweet potato based treats at this time of year, and this one at Family Mart caught my eye recently. It's a crepe filled with several ingredients -- a condensed milk cream, a sweet potato cream, baked sweet potato, and a caramel sauce to finish everything off with. I thought all of the elements worked together fabulously, and the different flavors added to what felt like a well-rounded dessert. Another positive feature is that it's far cheaper than getting a crepe at somewhere like Harajuku -- this one clocked in at only 320 yen including tax, which didn't feel like a bad deal at all.

Even though the value for money aspect is good when you compare it to brick and mortar specialist crepe stores, it's still one of the higher priced sweet potato desserts on shelves at the moment. There are plenty of cheaper options to choose from if you're just after any kind of sweet potato dessert fix, so I can understand how that would disincentivize some people to try this particular product. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to fans of sweet potato based desserts or those who have an affinity for crepes.
