Each year, a lot of the fast food chains offer different takes on their "tsukimi" (moon viewing) burgers, and most of them feature eggs to represent the moon. That's the case with McDonalds tsukimi burger for this year, and it features egg, bacon, a meat patty, and a creamy tomato sauce. It's quite a filling burger although I wouldn't say it's particularly large in size, but I appreciated that about it. All of the elements worked well together, and I think anyone who likes the combo of egg and bacon will probably enjoy this one. I also thought the rich, creamy tomato sauce had a great flavor to it! Worth trying if you're looking for something different from the McDonalds menu!

Obviously because this is a tsukimi-limited product, it's probably going to only be around for a few more days since the official tsukimi date was yesterday, September 17th. If it does sound good to you, I'd suggest making a beeline for your nearest McDonalds store before it disappears from their menu. Overall though, I think it's always fun to see what fast food chains come up with to represent tsukimi, and even if it's not the most traditional way of celebrating this time of year it's definitely a fun and tasty one.
