The description
This product is a packet of Addictive Black Pepper Shaka Shaka Potato seasoning from McDonalds stores. It was priced at only 50 yen including tax.
The good
For just 50 yen, the new Addictive Black Pepper Shaka Shaka Potato seasoning from McDonalds is a pretty easy way to give your usual fries a bit of a makeover, especially if you're someone who finds regular fries a little boring. It's a combo of black pepper and beef flavors, so the umami-ness is strong (in a good way). The Shaka Shaka concept is lots of fun, too. Just pop the seasoning into the bag, give everything a good shake, and you're ready to dig in. Definitely elevates your fries a bit from the standard salted version.
The not so good
The biggest downside is that the black pepper flavor might be a bit overpowering if you prefer your fries on the milder side. There's also the Shaka Shaka method itself. Although I think it's fun, getting an even coating can be a bit hit and miss, so you might end up with some fries packed with flavor and others barely seasoned at all. At 50 yen, it's hardly what I'd call a major financial risk, but if you're happy with classic salted fries you might not find it to be worth the extra fuss.
