I'm always up for trying a new drink at McDonald's, and the McFizz Freshly Squeezed Lemonade is a refreshing option, which feels especially nice on a warm day. I liked having something with a bit of citrus tang to cut through the usual burger and fries combo (instead of reaching for another Coke which is my usual go-to!) so this was a nice choice. It has that familiar mix of sweet and sour that makes lemonade so refreshing, and at 300 yen, it's not a huge investment if you fancy giving it a go.

The biggest thing that gives me pause is the fact that it contains just 1% lemon juice. The freshly squeezed name sounds promising, but when you actually look at that figure you realize it's not very lemon-y. If you're expecting something that tastes like homemade lemonade, you might be a little underwhelmed. Overall, I still thought it was tasty, but I don't think it's something I'd feel overly compelled to try again. I'd say it's still worth trying if it sounds appealing to you, though, just be sure to head in to your nearest McDonalds before it disappears from the menu.
