Tsukimi time is coming!

Much like I can tell that autumn is on the way when sweet potato and chestnut goodies start popping up everywhere, I can also tell that tsukimi (harvest moon) time is around the corner when tsukimi burgers start gracing fast food chains.

KFC has already started with their tsukimi offerings (there's also a tsukimi pie if you're not big on burgers!) and I'm sure that other large chains like Burger King and McDonalds will follow suit soon as well.

Typically, the tsukimi burgers contain egg to represent the harvest moon, but some places like Burger King have also opted for pineapple rings in past years for something different.
