A new word for your Japan vocab

I saw an article online today that I thought would be interesting for our community here! The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has designated the word "kokusho-bi" for days that exceed 40 degrees Celsius during the summer months, based on a survey of 478,000 people. It translates to "brutally hot day" which I think is pretty fitting.

I feel like each summer has been getting hotter than the one before, so I wouldn't be surprised if we are hearing more of that term very soon here.
