The good
If you like traditionally Japanese flavors in your icy treats of choice, this limited time MOW ice cream offering is a great one to consider. As the product name suggests, it's a matcha flavored ice cream with a pretty generous amount of black sesame paste in the middle, and I think mixing the flavors together so you get a bit of both in each bite is the best way to do it! The price felt pretty reasonable (especially if you compare it to the likes of Haagen Dazs which will cost you about 100 yen more), and the whole thing is only 234 calories -- I think that's not bad at all for a sweet treat!
The not so good
Since this is only a limited time product, if you find yourself really liking it then you only have a short window to get your hands on it. I do think that if you have the freezer space, you could always stash a couple away for when the craving hits, though! :) Also, this is a very Japanese flavored sweet treat, with the trademark earthiness of matcha and sesame. I personally have grown to love that flavor combo, but I know some expats are on the fence about it (or just downright don't like it). If that's you, though, I don't think you'd be going out of your way to purchase this ;)
