The good
This new ice cream from Haagen-Dazs is a really nice option to try if you like caramel and almond flavors, and if you enjoy a bit of texture in your ice cream of choice. As soon as you open the tub, there's quite a thick layer of caramel sauce on top, and below that there's a caramel flavored ice cream with sizeable chunks of candied almonds dotted throughout it. As someone who appreciates mix-ins, I liked this about the ice cream -- I thought the almonds paired nicely with the smoothness and richness of the ice cream. All of the elements worked nicely together, I felt that the flavors complemented each other very well.
The not so good
As I mentioned above in the positive features section, this ice cream is fabulous if you like texture in your ice creams of choice. If, however, you're on the opposite end of the spectrum in that regard, then I wouldn't really recommend this product to you. Obviously, one other downside is that this is only a limited time product, so if you find yourself really enjoying it then you only have a short window to get your hands on it. Definitely keep that in mind! Overall though, a solid ice cream option with some flavors that work together really nicely, and the candied almonds add a lovely crunch for the texture lovers.
