The description

This product is a White Peach Mille-Crêpe, and it's a seasonal, limited-time offering on Doutor's dessert menu. It was priced at 530 yen including tax.

The good

When it comes to foods that elicit those "summer in Japan" feelings for me, I would say that peaches are right up there near the top of the list. This White Peach Mille-Crêpe from Doutor is a limited time option on their dessert menu, and I think it's a perfect choice for this time of year. Each layer of the crepe is sandwiched with whipped cream and lemon curd (really nice and zingy-tasting!), and then the top of it is covered with pieces of white peach. I feel that the lemon curd and the white peach slices complement each other well, for a fresh and fruity-feeling dessert.

The not so good

In terms of price, coming in at over 500 yen this is more expensive than some of Doutor's other sweets items. In saying that, it does have fresh peach slices on the top, and I feel like peaches here have to be one of the priciest fruits. Overall I don't think it's terribly priced for the quality. If you are looking for a fresh and fruity dessert that feels summery and you've got a Doutor store nearby, I personally think this is a nice option to try. Head in to your local store soon if it sounds like something that appeals to you -- happy eating, and enjoy! :)
