It's Pocky day!

Today, 11/11, is one of my favorite "pseudo-holidays" of the year, and that's Pocky (and Pretz!) day. It's always a fun excuse for my family and I to pick up a couple of boxes to snack on, especially if there's a new seasonal flavor. I will have to head to the supermarket or convenience store later today and see what's on offer. 

I think these little annual traditions are a big part of what makes life in Japan so endearing. I don't really remember having any "pseudo-holidays" like Pocky and Pretz day in my home country, so I do find it fun getting to make what would otherwise be a regular day just a little bit more fun.
