Autumn, the season for reading

I think just about any time of year is a good one for getting some reading in, but here in Japan there's a phrase called "dokusho no aki" (読書の秋), or "autumn, the season for reading."

I can see why autumn could have this kind of association. The weather gets cooler, and I think there's not much better than cozying up with a good read under a kotatsu or even just a blanket on the couch. We're not quite at those temps yet, but we'll be there soon enough!
