If you're a fan of the sweet-meets-salty flavor combination, I would definitely recommend checking out this new yukimi dango offering. The soy sauce flavor is immediately noticeable even in the mochi outer -- it's slightly brown, and the slightly salty taste has been infused into it. Once you bite in, you've got a filling of vanilla ice cream, and then the center is filled with a gooey mitarashi sauce. Everything works together really well, not unlike a salted caramel dessert! I would definitely recommended this to anyone looking for a fun yukimi dango option!

I know that not everyone is a fan of sweet and salty flavors mixed together, but hopefully if that's the case for you then this wouldn't be something you'd purchase in the first place! Overall though, I thought this was a really fun yukimi dango option, and I liked that it incorporated some traditional flavors. Would love to see more in this style in the future. I'm not sure how long these will be available for since they are limited time only, but keep an eye out for them at your nearest convenience store or supermarket freezer section if they sound appealing to you.
