As we hit the tail end of the year, Starbucks usually comes out with some festive-feeling drinks, and this new Strawberry and Joyful Medley Tea Frappuccino aligns with that quite well! As the name suggests, the frap base is Starbucks' Joyful Medley Tea (a blend of three types of tea - black tea, oolong tea, and jasmine tea), and then the whole thing is topped with a strawberry sauce and freeze-dried strawberries. From a visual perspective I think the red color of the strawberries does bring about those Christmassy-kinda feelings, and the combo of the tea + fruit flavoring works together quite well!

A few potential downsides, just to be aware of. First is that it is quite an expensive drink at 700 yen -- this is something I think I expect from Starbucks now, and even when I like their seasonal drinks I only ever purchase them once to try them. It's just too expensive to justify it more than once. Second, the strawberry sauce does have quite a pulpy consistency to it. That's no issue if you don't mind texture in your drinks of choice, but if you're not a fan of surprise chunks then you might not care for this much. Overall though, a fun seasonal drink that I think works well with the end-of-year timeline. Head into your nearest Starbucks store soon if it sounds like a must try item to you.
