The description

This product is a packet of Pino with a Pokemon-themed box (there are several different boxes you can collect). The pack was priced at 194 yen including tax.

The good

What makes a packet of Pino even better than usual? A fun design on the outer! Right now there are several different Pokemon-themed Pino packaging boxes in freezer sections of convenience stores, including this one that features Diglett and Dugtrio (on the back) along with a Pokemon-themed pick. The actual ice cream itself is the standard chocolate-outer vanilla-inner combination, which I don't think needs any great improvement as it's already super delicious as is. I also love that Pino are shareable, or you can just have a bite or two and then save the rest of the pieces for later. That is a big selling point of this type of ice cream to me!

The not so good

Aside from the Pokemon-themed pick, the actual ice cream itself is the original choc-outer and vanilla-inner as I mentioned above. If you're expecting something different because of the fun packaging, you might find this to be a little bit of a letdown...but personally I could never be let down by the original Pino! I do think these packets are probably going to be snapped up pretty quickly like a lot of Pokemon-themed things are, so head in to your nearest convenience store or supermarket soon to see if they're still available near you. Happy eating, and enjoy! :)
