A new sight for JAL at Haneda

Have any of you seen this video I've linked below?! It came up as I was scrolling Instagram recently, about JAL incorporating humanoid robots to handle baggage here.

To be honest, I don't know how I feel about it. I think baggage handling comes with a lot of heavy lifting, so it might be nice to have robots do it to avoid humans getting injured (especially with an ageing population). In saying that, part of it feels kinda weird!

Airports have always felt like these very human spaces to me. They're chaotic, a bit stressful, but also reassuring because you know there are people behind the scenes making everything work. Swapping that out for humanoid robots, especially in such a visible role, feels like a shift not just in technology, but in atmosphere too.
