Almost like clockwork, lots of chains are leaning in to the autumn season with their menu offerings. Starbucks is no exception to that general rule, and they've got a new Creamy Sweet Potato Beni Haruka Frappuccino on the lineup. As the name suggests, this frap is made using sweet potato paste made with Beni Haruka sweet potatoes. Additionally, it's got sweet potato flavored sauce and roasted sweet potato flavored chips added to the whipped cream on top, so you're getting that flavor really jam-packed in!

One of the key downsides to me with any Starbucks frappuccino is the price. At 700 yen it's basically the price of a meal at some places, so even when I really enjoy them they're not something I would repurchase based on the cost alone. Also, if you do end up really enjoying it and can justify the price, it's only around for a limited time. Starbucks will probably release something similar around this time next year, but it's not a guarantee that this exact frap will make a repeat appearance. Overall, give it a go if you enjoy sweet potato flavored things and want a taste of the season!
