White wisteria at Anryoji

If you're looking for a wisteria spot in Niigata Prefecture, I have to recommend a local temple which is just stunning at this time of year. Anryoji is home to an impressive wisteria display, but what makes it stand out from other wisteria destinations I've visited is that the wisteria are all white! I'm more used to seeing the purple variant, so there's something unique about visiting here.

The temple is about 5 minutes by car or 30 minutes on foot from Tsubame Sanjo Station, and it wasn't busy at all on my visit. If you're in the area and have time to visit this week while the flowers still look good I would recommend it!
