The description

This product is the classic Babystar Ramen noodle snack in a Takikomi Gohan Onigiri Flavor. I purchased this from 7-11, and it was priced at 141 yen including tax.

The good

My kids are fairly obsessed with crunchy noodle snacks, and the Baby Star Ramen brand is such a classic that it's a go-to for our family. This is a new flavor that they've released (Takikomi Gohan Onigiri Flavor), and it tastes strongly of dashi, which can be a good thing if that's a flavor you enjoy! The packaging itself is also super cute if that's a factor in your purchasing decisions, featuring fun Chiikawa illustrations. There are three different bag styles to collect, too, so if you're a Chiikawa super fan then that might be a point of interest for you. Price-wise it's fairly on par with what I would have expected at 141 yen including tax.

The not so good

My kids really enjoyed these noodle snacks, but for my own taste buds it was a bit too full on with the dashi flavor. In saying that, I didn't grow up in Japan like they have, so maybe it's just a quintessential flavor that most Japanese kids (or those raised in Japan) will enjoy and gravitate towards. The packaging definitely gets points for cuteness, and if you like that strong dashi flavor and crunchy, savory snacks, then this will probably be your cup of tea. If you are on the fence when it comes to those fishy undertones then this might not be the best convenience store snack option for you.
