The good
Along with the super cute Pistachio Tree cake that's on the menu at Tully's stores at the moment (I also reviewed that one today!), they've also got this Pistachio Wreath donut available which is equally as adorable. The pistachio flavor is fragrant and nutty, and the freeze-dried strawberries on top give the whole thing a nice fruity kick. The strawberry bits also add some texture, which is welcome against the soft donut. If you're looking for an easy and tasty way to get into the holiday spirit, then this is one way to do just that! :)
The not so good
The freeze-dried fruit topping might not be everyone's cup of tea, particularly if you prefer a smoother consistency without little surprise crunchy bits. It's also still a sweet donut, so anyone who prefers more subtle desserts might find it a bit much. My other gripe is that it's a Christmas-only offering, which seems a shame if you end up enjoying the flavor combination. Overall, I think it's a fun and relatively affordable way to get into the festive spirit, so head in to your nearest Tully's store sooner rather than later if it sounds like something you might want to try.
