Camellia and sakura at the same time!

Around this time last year, BigFamJapan posed a question in the Q&A section about our favorite spring flower combos. One I enjoy and see fairly regularly around here is sakura and nanohana, but today in Nagaoka I saw sakura and tsubaki (camellia)!

Typically I think of camellia as an earlier-spring bloom, so seeing them both together was a real treat. Loved the different shades of pink that came together, I think it looks so dreamy!

Have you seen camellias and sakura together in your local area, or do they tend to bloom at different times near you?
